Welcome to St. John's Lutheran Church and School

9

Mission Statement

St. John’s Lutheran Church established its school nearly fifty years ago to enable children and members of their family to deepen their relationship with Christ, and to receive the best possible education. Click here for a statement of philosophy, goals and objectives.

Established in 1950

St. John’s Lutheran School has served area families for forty nine years. The program includes grades K-8. SJLS strives to prepare children for life, both academically and spiritually.

Computers Are Important To Us

There is a computer center located in each classroom and integrated into the curriculum at all grade levels. We were the first area private school with internet access and a state of the art computer lab. Our technology curriculum is application based and object oriented to insure our students have thorough knowledge in computers and technology.

Curriculum

Because the Bible is the foundation of our curriculum, each school day includes religious instruction. Chapel services for the whole student body are held weekly. Our academic curriculum includes Christian faith instruction, reading, literature, English, grammar and writing, spelling, math, science, health, social studies, music, art and physical education.

St. John’s curriculum meets the requirements of the State of California.
